of your Hydroponic Tower!
Important notes before we begin
1. Please don't plug your tower in until you're ready to plant.
2. pH Low is a great product for stabilizing the pH of your water reservoir but can mark surfaces and cause discomfort if undiluted product touches your skin. Use carefully, and only 1/2 a capful at a time.
3. If you're unsure about any of the steps, feel free to ask prior. Replacing products mixed incorrectly can be avoided.

Unpack your items
Your tower package comes with everything you need to grow, and all of these items are transported in your water reservoir. Empty all of the contents out to set up your tower for the first time.
You will not need your spare Net Cups, Stonewool or Vermiculite/Perlite during this set-up process.

Attach the wheels
Inside the box, you'll find some rectangle cardboard side supports. Lay those flat and lift the tower onto these for ease of attaching the wheels. The wheels are located in a unlabeled brown paper bag inside the water reservoir. Follow the instructions in the bag and attach the two lockable and two non-lockable wheels. Once done, lift the tower back off the side supports and lock the wheels.

Prepare your tower
Next, stand up the taps at the top of your tower, they have been folded down for boxing purposes. They should move freely into this position. The green tops on the taps should be facing the sky.
Next, remove the water reservoir lid and fill your reservoir with normal tap water up to approx. 5cm from the top. Don't turn the pump on just yet.

Mix your Nutrients
Take your Part A Jerry Can and fill it with 7L of normal tap water. Add your powdered Part A Nutrient mix into the Jerry Can water, secure the lid and shake to dissolve the powder.
Take your Part B Jerry Can and fill it with 7L of normal tap water. Add your powdered Part B Nutrient mix into the Jerry Can water as well as your Part C brown trace element bag, secure the lid and shake to dissolve the powder.
You may need to let the cans rest, then shake again to completely dissolve the mix into the water. Once completed, lay them so that they are bung side up, remove the bungs and secure the taps.

Calibrate your pH Pen
Open your Bluelab pH Pen and follow the calibration instructions on the box. Your EC (Nutrient reader) Pen comes pre-calibrated.
Once this is done, use your pH Pen to measure the pH reading of your water reservoir. A range of 5.5-6.5pH is commonly used for a mixed crop. If your reservoir's pH is above 6.8pH then add half a capful of pH Low and mix in well. Remeasure using your pH pen and adjust again if necessary to reach the desired range.
If needed, pH Upper solution can be made with one teaspoon of Baking Soda, mixed into one cup of water. Use sparingly.
NOTE: Undiluted pH Lower can mark surfaces and cause irritation on skin. Use carefully.

Use your EC Pen
This Pen comes pre-calibrated. Turn it on and place the probe into your water reservoir. For a mixed crop of seeds and small seedlings, a measurement of between 1.2-1.6 is a good starting point until they are about mid-sized plants.
To add Nutrients, use your measuring jug to add 200mL of Part A, mix in well. Then add 200mL of Part B, mix in well. Retest and adjust with equal parts of Part A and Part B until the desired range is achieved.
NOTE: Part A and Part B cannot be mixed together in the measuring jug. Please add these separately, one at a time, into your reservoir, and of equal measurements at all times.

You're ready to grow!
Only turn your pump on when you are ready to plant it out. Sunlight + Nutrient-rich water will cause algae to grow in the gullies. For best results, plant out one side (three gullies/24 plants) and turn the other side off using the green and black tap at the top of your tower. Then complete the second side.
