Maintaining your
Tower's pH and EC

Optimal plant nutrition and growth happens when you manage your water reservoir's pH range and EC range (nutrients available in the water for your plants). We recommend monitoring and adjusting your My Greens water 1-2 times per week depending on the size of your plants and how hot the weather is. It is vital that you do not let your water reservoir run dry.

Note: One teaspoon of Baking Soda, diluted into one cup of water makes pH upper, if required.

  • STEP ONE

Refill your water reservoir, replacing any fluid lost. Use your Bluelab pH Pen to test the pH of your water. If an adjustment is required, turn off your top water taps (incase you accidentally add too much pH Lower).

  • STEP TWO

If your reading was above 6.8pH, add half a capful of pH Lower to your water reservoir. Please note: this product is Nitric Acid, it can mark surfaces and cause discomfort to skin. Use carefully.

  • STEP THREE

Mix well and retest. If within 5.5-6.5pH then you're done. If above, repeat step two until the optimal range has been met. Remember to turn your taps back on once you're done.

  • STEP ONE

Refill your water reservoir, replacing any fluid lost. Adjust the pH prior to adjusting the EC, see above.

Use your EC pen to check the nutrients available in your water reservoir. See below for EC ranges.

  • STEP TWO

To achieve the desired range add 50-100mL of Part A, and mix in well. Then, add the same amount of Part B, and mix in well.

Please note: do not pour Part A and Part B into the jug together, they must be added separately.

  • STEP THREE

Retest. If the desired range is not met yet, repeat step two until achieved. There is no EC lower, if the reading is far too high, remove some water, add fresh water and test again.
