Can a Hydroponic System be used outdoors? Yes! It can!
What make a My Greens Outdoor Hydroponic System better than the rest?
At My Greens, we build out hydroponic systems to withstand the outside Sun, Wind and Rain.
Rust-free! Our hydroponics systems are made out of Marine Grade Aluminum, and all the bolts and nuts are stainless steel, meaning it cannot and will not rust!
Sun-proof! Our hydroponic system's plastics are UV stable and food-grade, meaning they are safe to be in the sun all day, they will not go brittle and crack.
Wind-proof! Our hydroponic system weighs 55kg empty, then add in our 75L water reservoir = another 75kg, plus the weight of the plants. Two of the wheels are also lockable. Blowing a gale? No problem. (The plants may not like the high-wind though). For protection, it's best to place the tower lengthwise along a building to reduce the wind exposure on your plants.
Rain-proof! Our towers are fully sealed, meaning it won't take on too much water. The water can absolutely get in via the plants and down to the roots, so it's best to check on your pH and nutrient level after a day's heavy downpour.
So, in short, your My Greens Hydroponic System is built for the outdoors. Whether you grow it there or in a greenhouse is up to you though! Happy Growing!
